Insomnia
Set a schedule to sleep. When on sleep time, turn out the lights and lay down. Even if you do not fall asleep, your body gets rest. It will help you make it through the next day at the end of which you should be exhausted enough to be able to get real sleep as long as you avoid taking naps during the day.
5 Tips to Stop Procrastination in Its Tracks:
1. Use your schedule, not your to-do list. For tasks that you are putting off, it is important to get concrete.
So make an appointment in your calendar for the day and time you’re going to work on the task. This is far more effective than perpetually moving the task from one day’s to-do list to the next!
If this is hard for you to do, take the following babysteps:
Schedule a time that you are going to work on what you need to work on. Aside from that particular time, do not even think about those tasks. While on schedule, force yourself to not get sidetracked. Even if you do not accomplish everything to your satisfaction, at least you are moving in the right direction.
2. Make it as easy to get started as you can. A lengthy task that you’ve been avoiding can be very difficult to start. So shift your thinking just a bit.
Tell yourself, “I’m going to work on this for 10 minutes.” That’s doable enough that you should be able to sit down and get busy. And interestingly, once you get started, you’ll probably spend more than 10 minutes on your task. Getting started is the tough part.
3. Break the task into smaller parts. Larger tasks can easily feel overwhelming.
When you divide your task into more manageable parts, you are immediately taking a different kind of ownership of it. Both because of the smaller size of the tasks AND because of your fuller engagement, it becomes psychologically easier to tackle the project.
And it’s really true – it’s easier to do 10 small things than one big thing – try it!
4. Identify the most dreaded part. Often there’s a small part of the task that is holding you back.
Once you identify it, there are a couple of possibilities. Naming it may help you to see that what you dread isn’t really that bad – so you’ll be able to move forward and do it.
Another option would be to outsource that task. If it’s possible to get someone else to take care of that part of the task for you, you can then move ahead with the rest of it.
5. Reward yourself! Give yourself a reward for completing each step of the task. Whether it’s getting started, doing the dreaded part, or completing the smaller steps that you’ve broken the task into, validating your efforts is important. It doesn’t have to be anything big, but acknowledging your efforts builds self-trust and also makes the whole process more fun!

OMG…A-…sitting here with my timer set @ 10 mins,I always get distracted quickly unless it’s something creative or I enjoy like gardening,making things or when I was in the Navy I loved fixing jets.. ships..submarines..really the skies above or the seas below!! Now music is a major must for sanity and stars at note. Also I don’t seem to come alive or energized till late at nite. When people are ready to sleep I seem to finally wake up…But sometimes I need to recharge or recycle my body and can sleep 3-4 days.Lists are a must except I seem to misplace them a lot and the lists pile up…I always felt out of place since a child and still do only more so now.I always felt my life would eventually have some purpose for the many struggles but I tried to believe that it was to make me a stronger in individual and for a purpose and that one day when I was supposed to know that I would. Also would know what I am supposed to do. But now I feel like I am losing my mind because the past 1 1/2 years I have this incontrollable need seeking the truth/answers spiritual and thru lies I have always felt have been taught.. My gut tells me what is true or as crazy as it seems I have always had this “I just know…don’t know how but I feel it within me” I am no one I am just the same as everyone else but some times..more often now I feel out of place not even an equal.. because there is no one to understand me and I am isolated. I do not know why my mind now is doing some heavy duty intensely searching for answers to why, how, who, with my mind wide open to endless possibilities. I am not nuts but being driven in that direction by WTF is going on or with me..why doesn’t any one else think or seek truth…I can’t even carry on a conversation with anyone..plus the more answers I try to find the more bizarre it gets. Some things I have not questioned or gave a thought to comes to me in masses at once so I think I am supposed to look into this or that then the next piece of a puzzle will do the same over and over with each fitting into the next. I wonder how deep its going to go…there is a lot of garbage to try to distract me or question myself sometimes I tell myself this is crazy and insane.. What or why is this going on. For me out of the blue I got bombarded with Rh negative and then Jesus thrown in to the subject a few times. So I said I am Negative and always known so..Dog tags and military list blood type so I always knew but that was like…the end just nothing. Find some wild and crazy reading ..then I think why has the doctors or military ever explain anything about it ( was stationed in Europe plus I am a female???) This seems wrong. Then bang all this what you eat and your blood type comes at me next…once again never in my wildest imagination would I ever have added those together as affecting my health,mental stat and quality of life as well as some of my illnesses. Those 2 pieces fit together really well some good reading is “The blood type diet”. Things I have been begging doctors to help me with for decades has started to change the quality of my life but no doctor I visited ever once mentioned any of this thanks to Dr. Adam’o.And more things are being put in my path for what reasons I am not sure of the big final picture,but my gut and faith are guiding me. Sorry such a long comment but is there anyone going thru this kind of craziness.I hope it is not just me.
You need to develops filters … Dont take everything onboard … You have more time on your hands … I guess you retired from the military .. So much info yes … But most of it bs … Filter all the bs … And you are not crazy …

I wanted to let you know that you are not the only one, actually many people are (have been0questioning themselves the same you did. I know because I am like you like others like us. Our menta likes to create a question and once the answer is found automatically the next question shows up,etc…
Its is good to be aware of all of these even if sometimes control is not with us but once known you can set some tips, tricks to play nicely. Listing,Positive affirmations, physical exercise, music and discussion engagement with others can be very helpful.

No , I feel like I just heard myself talk, almost! Lol….I can never keep on track and I always feel like I have a higher purpose…always searching, always thinking…
I’ve had my DNA tested by 2 companies….23andMe and FamilyTreeDNA…..both were very similar in results. I was told my Mitochondrial haplogroup is U2e2…..do not have my Paternal haplogroup yet! I am RH A-….of 7 children born to my parents (both A+)… only myself, the eldest….and my next to youngest brother (0-)….are the only two Negs as far as I know! I assume my grandfathers were likely RH-…. due to my maternal grandmother being AB+ ….and my paternal grandmother is of Cherokee and Creek parents. My paternal grandfather’s genealogical results are French….my maternal grandfather’s are Scottish…
If I decide to try another company I will go with NatGeo….thanks for the heads up!
I have A negative blood in my body .I have some scratches on my body from my birth to at that time. And I can’t sleep very well I mean I have insomnia now….so I just want to say
