How harmful are vaccines?

I have done my best to stay away from this subject matter for several reasons. More than anything, I do not want you to take my word or anyone’s word on anything. Do your own research. I will do what I can to inform you, but you also can do what I do and gather information on your own. Whenever I am posting something, I reference everything. Research can begin on a Wikipedia page, but it cannot end there. That means that whenever there is something that catches your interest on Wikipedia, look for the reference and READ the reference. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, so what you want to do is use it as a starting point. Not read something anyone could have written without verifying its validity first.

There are two major camps I am aware of when it comes to the subject matter of vaccines:

1) “Doctor knows best. Don’t think too much. You need the vaccines and anything written about Thimerosal and its mercury content is promoted by conspiracy nuts.”
2) “Refuse vaccines, refuse the Anti-D shot, take your chances because the satanic illuminati-driven elite wants to kill us.”

How about a logical middle way? Not as attention grabbing maybe, but based on scientific evidence:

Vaccines are needed unfortunately. We need to protect our children from diseases. The Anti-D shot is also needed in many cases unless you are ok with chemical pregnancies, miscarriages, still births and so on. Vaccines are not harmful in itself, but what is being added can be. Thimerosal contains almost 50% mercury. You will have no problem finding FDA warnings about not consuming too much canned tuna due to high mercury levels, but you will have difficulty finding any government agency or medical industry officials warning you about pumping the same amounts of mercury into your young child’s body.

Hospitals are production lines and true care is hard to find unless you and your (honest) physician are close enough to where they show personal interest in preventing your child from having issues in the future. There is no easy answer at this particular moment other than removing Thimerosal completely from all vaccines as has been done with the Anti-D shot in 2002 after which the percentage of children with neurological diseases who have rhesus negative mothers has dropped significantly.

What can you do?

The keyword here is “YOU”. What can be done is us continuing to inform ourselves and when it’s time for your child to be vaccinated, ask your doctor if a Thimerosal-free version is available. If he plays dumb or treats you like you are saying “I don’t know, this is the best we have, so don’t worry about it”, at least keep pressing the issue. Let them know, that you know enough to be concerned. Back in the 1950s, lots of radiation treatment was applied to children later resulting in thyroid cancer (see: Roger Ebert). Thimerosal was claimed necessary in Anti-D shots until people pressured, sued, etc. It no longer became financially logical to continue adding it to the Anti-D shot. Changes come, but it takes you to do your part. I am not advising you to refuse vaccines for your children. Sorry, but that would be extremely irresponsible on my part. And replacing one potential danger with another one is not the solution.

People often claim to know something by repeating official disclaimers or claims from people not providing proper evidence to back it up. I am also seeing many people promoting vaccines by withholding information and misleading their audience. When that fails, usually bad language is following which may impress far too many in the general population, but from what I have seen among rhesus negative people, it raises red flags in us… as it should.

I am not here to be your savior, because… well… I am not. But I believe in putting ALL cards on the table. Inform people what it is they deserve to know. Not claim to have all the answers or the right to tell you what to do. Do your best to keep your children safe and healthy. Do what you can to protect them in this sick world. Prescribing cocaine-like pills because one doctor decides your kid should be diagnosed with ADHD seems to be an accepted norm. But know that no one cares for your kids the way that you do.

If you have any additional research to bring our way, don’t hesitate. Don’t rest until Thimerosal is being removed from all vaccines. I can do my part, but so can you. And actually: You have to. Don’t wait for someone to save you. Only actions bring change. And when you start by demanding that your doctor at least speaks to you like an intelligent human being and shows at least a little bit concern and willingness to help change things regarding mercury (disguised as Thimerosal) being present in what is being injected into your child, you will trigger necessary changes at least to some degree. And if enough of you do the same thing, do your own research and raise awareness by sharing it, changes will come. Maybe not within the next year, but look how long it has taken for Thimerosal to be removed from the Anti-D shot (after aluminum and pure mercury). And if baby steps are our only option, let’s welcome them rather than allowing others to dictate what to be and not be concerned about and blindly adapting to a society where people helplessly accept an autism-epidemic in America as just “one of those things” not even wondering why it isn’t happening in so many other parts of the world.
