    I have a belief that the Neanderthal extinction was due to their being RH-. I also believe that Rh- people are likely to have a higher then normal percentage of Neanderthal DNA. Previously I was concentrating on Basque and Celtic people. It is a plesant surprise to find that a large percentage of Indonesians also have this gift.

    William, whether or not the Neanderthals or some of them were actually rh negative, has not been proven.
    According to the Max Planck institute which I have contacted, the 2 Neanderthal specimens examined for blood type and rh factor were rh positive:

    Hello,
    I’m 0 RH- and I’m going to rest in the Maldives. I’m a Thrombophilic and I need reassurance that in the event of an accident and blood loss, I will find a Donor here.
