PLEASE HELP! I’m B- and 58. After a very hectic and unusual past two years, I’ve hit what I consider close to the bottom of my IRON usage. I was told by my Pain Mgmt Dr (have had numerous surgeries on neck and back), that I am unable to STORE IRON. After reading many assorted blogs, I see most people both RH positive and RH negative carriers are anemic. Many of us have difficulty absorbing iron but ‘storing it’ ??…is an entirely different animal here, and my GP doesn’t seem to be phased by any of this RH Negative stuff.
I’ll be seeing my GP again on Jan 22, 2016, to have another Ferritin test done. If it’s not showing much improvement since the last one 2 months ago, I’m sure my GP will want to do an iron infusion. If I’m unable to store it, how will that benefit anyone in this case? I’m taking 3 tablets of ‘Gentle Iron’ along with tons of Vit C, along with all the Bs, D3 MSM and Omega 3, etc. I’ve spent most of my time horizontal since Dec 2, after having back to back earthquakes (est 4.5) waking us up. Since then, it’s been really difficult to do much without running out of breath easily, along with all the other low iron anemic symptoms one has. My heart tests show clear!
Is this something we usually find with RH NEGATIVE females?
I’ve been looking for a website like this For what seems like forever!!! Thank God for you guys and all you’ve accomplished!
Anything you can share with me in lamen’s terms would be so appreciated!
