The Bedouins of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt have been mentioned in Kara RogersĀ“ work as being 18-30% rh negative. So who are the Bedouins genetically speaking? In terms of the Y-DNA (make lineage), the J-M267 marker (haplogroup J1) is very high amongst Bedouin tribes. Studies reveal frequencies above 50% and in some cases 100% in groups examined. This specific marker is also high amongst the Cohanim Jews with a frequency of 40-50%.
