In a&nbsp;new interview with&nbsp;<em>Playboy,<\/em>&nbsp;Johansson opened up about her views on romance\u2014and why she&#8217;s skeptical about monogamy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it\u2019s a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing,\u201d she said, before countering, \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s natural to be a monogamous person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johansson first discussed&nbsp;her views on monogamy&nbsp;while promoting her film&nbsp;<em>Match Point<\/em>&nbsp;in 2006. \u201cI don\u2019t think human beings are monogamous creatures by nature,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen I decide I want to have children with somebody, I think it would be nice to be married to that person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2008, before her marriage to&nbsp;<strong>Ryan Reynolds,<\/strong>&nbsp;Johansson&nbsp;clarified&nbsp;her 2006 remarks to&nbsp;<em>Cosmopolitan.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s a natural instinct for human beings, but it doesn&#8217;t mean I don&#8217;t believe in monogamy or true love,\u201d she said. \u201cI believe in finding a soul mate. I&#8217;ve always been in monogamous relationships. I would never want to be in an open one. It&#8217;d be too awful. Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don&#8217;t think it applies to everybody, and I don&#8217;t think a lot of people can do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, at the end of her second marriage, Johansson\u2019s thoughts on love appear much the same.
