It might not be the alcohol or tobacco but rather the chemicals added

If you think you need to drink, buy high quality only

As for smoking:

I have no answers

No real answers

Don’t do it?

Maybe real tobacco without additives if you can find such

Or:

Keep your lungs busy in ways it reduces desire to smoke

Our bodies want to move

When you smoke, the desire to move decreases

Suddenly, you are more okay with sitting 4 more hours in the office after lunch/smoke break

What sport did you like to play when you were in school?

Do that again

Make sure that whatever you do, you also enjoy

Gain access to moving

Find a place of peace to walk to

Visit the ocean if you can

Whatever you do:

You are not born to sit, smoke, drink and eat garbage all day

Your body knows

Now.your mind does as well
