The Evolution of Rh- Blood

Here is my original blog post from February 6th 2015:

Is it true that the Mayans and Incas have high levels of Rh- blood?

Scientists no longer use the term Cro-Magnon.

There are no studies showing their blood type frequencies either.

Neanderthals were Partial D.

Rh negative means that the D antigen of the Rhesus Blood Group System is absent.

Partial D may have been an evolutionary stepping stone from testing positive for the presence of D (Rh+) to a complete D gene deletion (Rh- or D negative).
