How did rh- blood first develop?

Anyone assuming that because we lack the D gene present in the rhesus monkeys, we must come from outer space, is an idiot.

Rh- blood is a result of simple gene deletion. The D gene was deleted. Why?

There are many possibilities, but as recently we have discovered, the rh (D) protein’s main function may have something to do with oxygen transport. It could have been that rh- blood first came up somewhere around an ocean, not likely up in the mountains, where oxygen supply was plenty and the extra proteins were not required. Where and when did it take place? Blue eyes for example were likely a mutation that occurred around the Black Sea region as few as 7,000 years ago, but rh- blood likely came way before that. How long before we don’t know.
