The Neanderthals live in us and through us.

We continue their line.

They were not evolutionary inferior.

Imagine 800 tribes spread across Europe and parts of Asia with 25-35 members each.

Then came the modern humans by the dozens and maybe hundreds at a time, mostly if not exclusively males exploring new territory.
