What about Dengue fever?

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. These may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes two to seven days.

Since viral infections seem lower for Rh negatives, I figured I will look into Dengue fever and see why it hasn’t been brought to my attention yet.

I was quite surprised:

According to a recent study, Rh factor has no impact on Dengue fever infection.

What could be the reason?

Could it be that form of transmission (airborne via injection by mosquitoes) makes the difference?

We need more studies to find the reason. It is also notable that blood type O doesn’t seem to do well. Usually in viral infections, Rh negatives do better and blood type O for example stands out very often such as regarding lower likelihood to contract COVID-19.
