The Neanderthal Diet III

In contrast to most other diets, The Neanderthal Diet requires you to use your own mind.

That means you won’t have a babysitter telling you what to consume on a daily basis, but rather keeping up with how our ancestors really ate.

A few years ago, I participated in this study:

It was conducted in the Czech Republic and 2 years after, the same country was named unhealthiest nation on earth.

Around the Mediterranean region, results may have differed greatly.

In his 1950 paper THE BLOOD GROUPS OF FHE PEOPLES OF THE MEDITERRANEAN AREA, A.E. Mourant quotes the following statement from a colleague:

We were interested in discovering where Rh-negative may have originated. We therefore drew up a “weather-map” of the genic distribution of Rhnegative. The resulting isogenic map led us to conclude that Rh-negative originated in Southwestern France. We conjectured the period at about 50,000 years, and the population probably a Neanderthaloid-like (!) one.

While there is also the possibility that the Rh(D) gene deletion occurred in various places over various eras, this is a very strong possibility.

You may have read Jordan Peterson’s claim that a pure beef diet saved his and his daughter’s lives. Both, especially his daughter were plagued with autoimmune issues. I don’t know their blood types.

While not expressing agreement or disagreement with their decisions, I will state the following in a more general manner:

No diet is perfect and all humans are different. Neanderthals were also very diverse and the ranges of the habitats varied greatly. Jordan and his daughter mentioned they “tried everything” and stopped trying when they discovered their current diet and felt better than ever before.

Depending on location, there were Neanderthal groups that likely consumed mostly seafood, some mostly wild game of the time such as mammoth and others could have had a primarily vegetarian diet due to higher availability of vegetables than meat and fish.

Which fresh and natural food items make you feel the best?

Don’t consume foods high in artificial flavors as your body is tricked to crave such items when in reality what you crave are the natural items those flavors simulate.

If chips with paprika flavor or onion flavor are what you think you crave… it isn’t the dry fried potatoes you crave. Buy some real paprika and onions.

Don’t expect perfection from your diet, but get closer to it by examining how your feelings change.

If you wish to follow an ideology-driven diet, so be it. It is your choice, but you won’t have a right to come here and complain that you don’t feel well.

Being Rh- we are said to have poor health in general, which is wrong and was not the purpose of our study. The purpose was for me to share warning signs. You are still alive, so read what you might try without assuming that doing what others do will not result in different outcomes.

We Rh-s are different in so many ways and we need to respect such difference and adjust accordingly.

To sum it up:

Eat fresh and natural. Listen to your cravings.

This is not medical advice. These are my personal thoughts. Again: You can try as you wish, but if what you try doesn’t work, don’t come here complaining you are a victim of your own biology
