A lot of individuals find this blog by searching key term “golden blood”.

Golden Blood refers to one type:

Rh null.

Rh null means all antigens from the Rh blood group system are missing.

There are around 50 of them.

One is the D.

If the D antigen is absent, you are Rh(D) negative.

You are Rh(d).

Have you seen blood donor cards?

Mine shows for example ccddee.

If it was ccDdee, then I would be Rh(D) positive as the D is dominant.

The c, d, and e show absence of 3 of the major antigens from the Rh blood group system.

I am not sure which of the others are present or absent.

The most famous person with Rh null (Golden Blood) has to be Mr. Harrison.

There are several others as well. Just recently:

How rare is Rh null?

According to an Iranian study, the frequency is 1 in 6 Million.

However, there are less than 50 individuals we know of.

BUT…

according to proposed frequencies, the actual number could be in the thousands.

That means, that there are individuals with Golden Blood who have no idea.

How do you get tested for all the antigens?

I am sure, that if you donate blood and are Rh null, they should find out.
