Rh negative frequencies in Basque Country

We all know that Basques generally speaking have the highest percentages of rh negatives worldwide. But the frequencies vary from location to location.

This map of ancient Europe highlights the percentages of rh positives by region. So when you look at Basque country, there are parts with more than 50% rh negatives. Note also high rh negative frequencies in the ancient European region which is the Ukraine today.

Looking at estimates of ancient blood type frequencies in Europe, parts of Basque Country were higher than 50% rh negative.
The Basques were Basques long before the Spanish and French existed.
These differences in frequencies are indicators that French Basques are more likely to get married outside of their Basque culture.

The above chart shows the gene frequency of r(cde) meaning, we need to apply the Hardy-Weinberg-Equilibrium to determine the percentages of rh negatives phenotypically.

Most of Basque Country in Spain is shown to be around 28.3% rh negative.
Biarritz on the French side (southern part) around 24.3%.
San Sebastián is a resort town on the Bay of Biscay in Spain and only shows 23.1% and a surprise, which could be due to many choosing to move to the region from other parts of Spain and Europe.

The main economic activities are commerce and tourism, and it is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Spain. Despite the city’s small size, events such as the San Sebastián International Film Festival have given it an international dimension. San Sebastián, along with Wrocław, Poland, was the European Capital of Culture in 2016.

All of the studies I have seen regarding rh negative frequencies in Basque Country were between 22% and 37%.
